I have used a Carvin ST-4500 Guitar Amp ( 100 W,160W or 250 W depending on
speaker load 8 Ohm/4 Ohm/2 Ohm, 7 band E.Q with + & - 12 dB, Sping Reverb,
Tremolo, Solid State with mixable Overdrive Channel or Clean Channel) and
Carvin ASG-500 P. A. Stereo Amp 500 W( 100 W,160W or 250 W per channel
depending on speaker load 8 Ohm/4 Ohm/2 Ohm , tri-ampable selection for full
audio, highs, or low frequencies, Full V.U. meter per channel) for over 20
years they are rugged, versatile and hold-up through all the real-world
bumps, jarring, drops, and travel on the road to gigs and set-up on stages,
bars, parties, and homes or studios.
Many smaller companies like Carvin try harder, are more innovative and add
features that the big corporate conglomerate -owned companies refuse to do
due to cost, engineering time , unproven sales market , speciality versus
mass market ect.
Needless to say Carvin is among the best and I highly recommend their
products!

Byron

Thanks very much for that review! Too seldom do I see reviews of
Carvin gear -- it's good to hear from you, from your personal
experience, about those amps.

If they are good enough for Frank Zappa, they are good enough for me. After I get the SH575, I may be ready for a new combo amp. I remember the one my friend's brother had in the early 70s was a heavy sucker with 2-12's and sounded great.
